Voice4Change England is excited to announce a new funding opportunity in partnership with the Pargiter Trust.
We will be awarding grants up to £5000 for projects from grassroots and non-profit organisations led by Black and Minoritised people. The projects should support activities for Black and Minoritised people over 65, to help them to be independent, healthy and socially included. Projects can include people over 60 as long as the 65+ age group is in the majority.
Projects can take place in England and/or Guernsey.
The aims of the fund are to:
Improve health & well-being e.g., provide sporting activities and/or social activities for people over 65 from Black and Minoritised communities in order to improve their health and well-being
Improve access to facilities, advice and training e.g., run trips to 6 historic castles and museum in Cambridgeshire for older people by providing transport with wheelchair access; training for older people to gain basic skills to use laptops and search information online.
Overcome problems e.g., run social activities for older people living with mild disabilities in order to reduce loneliness, rebuild community connections and increase their cognitive abilities
