The UK government has opened the 3rd round of its Community Ownership Fund.
The fund is designed to help communities rescue and take control of local assets, such as sports clubs, music venues and historic buildings. The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities says the fund has been changed to give more help to community groups.
Voice4Change-England believes this fund represents an opportunity for Black and Minoritised communities to secure and safeguard assets that would otherwise be lost which is in line with our advocacy for the communities we represent.
The Community Ownership Fund EOI is now open for applications, ahead of the launch of the next application window of the fund. Round 3 Window 1 will open on 31 May 2023 and will close at 11:59am (midday) on 12 July 2023.
