Membership Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you are already a V4CE member or are thinking of joining, here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions.

What type of membership does V4CE offer?

V4CE offers 4 types of membership:

Full BME Organisation Membership

V4CE defines a BME organisation eligible for full membership as a non-profit organisation with over 50% of Board Members of BME background based and operating in the UK. Full Organisational Members have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

 

Full BME Individual Membership

V4CE defines BME individuals eligible for full membership as an individual of BME background interested in racial equality living in the UK. Full BME Individual Members have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

 

Associate Non-BME Organisational Membership

Organisations with less than 50% of Board members representing BME communities are eligible to apply for Associate Membership. If the organisation meets the criteria of the BME organisation but is based outside of the UK, it is only eligible for Associate Organisational Membership.

 

Associate Non-BME Individual Membership

Individuals who are not of BME background but are interested in racial equality and/or support V4CE work. If an individual has a BME background but resides outside of the UK, they can only apply for Associate Individual Membership.

I am abroad/ from an international organisation outside of the UK, can I join?

You may only apply for Associate organisational or individual membership if you or your organisation is based outside of the UK.

How do I register for membership?

Take a look at our membership pages on the V4CE website. Select a suitable membership option and complete the form. Your application will then be considered for V4CE membership, and this can take up to 2 weeks. You will receive a welcome pack via email if your application is successful, or an email explaining why your application was unsuccessful.

How much is the annual fee for your membership?

V4CE membership is currently free and renews annually.

Do I need to renew my membership or is it renewed automatically every year?

Your membership automatically renews every year. You will receive an email notifying you of your membership renewal. If you wish to opt out of your membership, you can do so at any time by emailing us at enquiries@voice4change-england.co.uk or via your membership account.

What happens after I register as a V4CE member?

Once you complete your registration form and your membership is verified, you will receive an email to confirm your membership and introduce our membership offer in more detail. As a member, you are automatically subscribed to our newsletter.

What are the benefits of V4CE membership?

Some of our key benefits for members:

  • Free monthly newsletter full of funding opportunities, resources, and support

  • Free workshops training on different organisational support

  • Free 1-2-1 organisational support to understand your needs and help you plan a course of action

  • Free online membership platform with resources Library, forum etc

  • Discounted paid workshops and events

  • Share your news in our Members Newsletter for free e.g. events, workshops etc

*Non-members have no or limited access to the following services, and will pay full price for paid workshops and events.

I am not happy with my membership. How do I complain?

We are sorry if you have had a negative experience with us. We take any complaint seriously and try to resolve it as soon as possible. Please email us at enquiries@voice4change-england.co.uk. We will investigate your complaint and get back to you within 7 working days.

How do I cancel my membership?

We are sorry to see you go. Please email enquiries@voice4change-england.co.uk with your name, organisation and registered email address so that we can cancel your membership and remove you from our platform.

How do I log in to the members portal?

Once you have registered for membership and your application has been approved, you can log in here.
